Using CR Server requires being knowledgeable about how to set it up and working with its administration tools. You are either going to have to learn that or learn how to program with ASP.NET. You are correct that ASP.NET will not be easy to learn if you are not a programmer. However, I don't know anything about setting up CR Server. The help files should have a lot of information though.
