Dead how to count the cases where the field equals a certain string value?
something like: If({fieldname}="string", Count({fieldname},0))

running total or shared variable formula or an if-then formula to use 1 or 0
 
//if_then
if field='string then 1
sum the formula field
sum(@if_then)
 
Running Total
name=count_of_string
field to sumamrize=field
type=count
evaluate=use a formula
fieldname='string'
reset=never (unless you wnat group sub totals)
place in report footer (RTs do not work in headers)
