Crystal Reports Cross-Tab summarized field formula

   My crosstab shows data as below, 

                             t1    t2   t3
company  Dept1    1     0    0
                Dept2    0     1    0

but if the summarized field is > 0 then it should should be blank  else A

i used a formula for the summarized field ,

if summarized field = 0 then "A" else ""

HENCE it should display as,

                             t1    t2   t3
company  Dept1           A    A
                Dept2    A           A

but still my crosstab displays as,
                             t1    t2   t3
company  Dept1    1     0    0
                Dept2    0     1    0

 Can someone help me on this please. Bit urgent. Thanks.
