Is it possible in Crystal XI to make a report executable so my end user can run it for herself? Will the report update the data and select the latest data?

The exe option (compiled reports) went away with CR 8.5. Instead, you can use one of the 3rd-party Crystal report viewers listed at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html or create your own viewer applications.
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
