Hi,

I have a subreport listing charges, credits and net billings to patients. The charges all show OK but the totals (using Running Total Fields) sometimes just show a blank. It does not seem to be a display issue as the Net Billing Field (charges-credits) ends up showing blank as well.

Here is an example where the same items show up ok for one patient but the return blanks for the very next patient. Other charge types and credits are victims not just this one item. I have not been able to discern a pattern as to when it blanks out...

Charge Type       Description             Charge         Credit
xxxxx                   xxxxxxxxxx             4000.00          0.00
yyyyy                   yyyyyyyyyy                                 500.00
______________________________________________
                               Totals                   4000.00      500.00    Net     3500.00

Charge Type       Description             Charge         Credit
xxxxx                   xxxxxxxxxx             4000.00          0.00
yyyyy                   yyyyyyyyyy                                 500.00
______________________________________________
                               Totals                  bbbbbb        500.00    Net    bbbbbbb

Thanks

this is a subreport correct?
check your joins
remove your link to sub
see if the values show up
go to file
report options
check off null value boxes

Hi Sharona,

Yes this is a subreport, the data comes out of single table so no joins are at issue. Only the totals are introduced in to the resulting subreport. I'll try removing the links to the main but the problem is there at the subreport level itself even before I bring it into the main report. When you say 'check off' the null value box did you mean check them off or take off any checks.

Thanks

OK, I laced a check in the 2 NULL values options and that seems to have done the trick.O values now consistently showing and carried into calculations.

Thanks Sharona!
