Hi,

I just migrated my application which is in VB 6 in Win 7 OS. We are accessing Crystal Reports via URLs passed from application. When we are opening any report and exporting the report to PDF and opening the report directly instead of saving the document to local disk we are getting error as "There was an error opening this document.Access denied"

We are using Business Objects XI for crystal reports.

Please advise whether i need to change any settings at Acrobat Reader or crystal report side.

Thanks,
Pradip Kulkarni

Hi Pradip,

To know where the problem is, try to create a test report through crystal report desiger and export to PDF, while exporting you can choose distination as Application so that it will open the PDF immediately.

If you are able to open exported report in PDF format through crystal report desiger then you have some problem in the BO rights.

Thanks,
Sastry

Have you checked the permissions on all files being accessed?
