    Posted: 20 Aug 2012 at 5:12am
I created a formula fields to insert a carriage return.

Formula
chr(13)

The final result is to try an create an output file using a pipe delimiter and a carriage return at the end of each row of data. When I insert the formula chr(13) field at the end of the row, it is removing the first pipe on the first row - thereby throwing off the data.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

If your report has each record in a row, you don't need the carriage return - Crystal will automatically do that for you.

I think is was a "User inflicted" format issue :)

This was an older report, where I had the data moved up to the header area. Once I moved to the details section - everything worked correctly.

Thanks,
Dawn
