I install 32 bit Crystal designer on 64 bit machine. Now when I open format file in the designer and check on Database -> Verify database, i am getting the error. The same 32 bit exe works fine on 32 bit machine. Could any one help with this issue?

Make sure you are using an 32-bit ODBC (I am assuming your data source is ODBC).  Crystal does not recognize 64-bit ODBC's.

Also, what version of Crystal are you using? Older versions (I think anything earlier than XI r2) will not run correctly on a 64-bit OS except possibly in "compatibility" mode.

This is probably due to the version of Crystal that you're running - version 10 came out long before 64-bit Windows was available. It's also possible that some of the correct version of C++ libraries that were available in earlier versions of Windows aren't available in the newer version.

You could try running Crystal in compatibility mode to see whether that would help. In Windows 7, right-click on the shortcut to Crystal and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility". I'm not sure how this looks on Windows 8.
