I have an inventory report that I want to run totals for the inventory. I have materials that have unique lot numbers. My report could have the the same part number 3X because my inventory has 3 lot numbers. With that said I can have 1 , 2 and 4 as quantities for the 3 lines of the same part number. How can I sum the actual inventory count (1, 2 and 4) to be 7 for the 3 lines of duplicate part numbers?

Actual:

Part#    Qty    Lot
A        1      STR
A        2      ghi
A        4      LOP

Wanting this:

Part#    Qty
A        7

TIA!

Have you tried a running total?  Basically sum of Qty, reset on change of Part#.  In most cases you would want to group on Part#, and put the running total in the Group Footer (reset on change of group).
