I am new to Crystal and am using VFP7 data.
I had no trouble connecting to the VFP container and using the tables - with NO entry of User ID or Password. But now I need to use a standalone table and am unable to do so because I have NO idea what User ID or Password it wants or how to 'turn off' this prompt.

Please HELP!

I have never heard of  VFP7 (Visual Fox Pro?). You are connecting to a database and thus there normally is a user id and password for it (but many times when I am accessing MS-Access databases there is none).  But the login screen will pop up anyhow.

Yes, using Visual FoxPro 7
The table I am trying to access is a free table - NOT within a database container.

If there is NO User ID or Password associated with the free table, how do I get Crystal to access it?

Don't know.  Normally (at least with MS-Access) if you just hit ok (I think it is ok) at the login screen then it should connect even though you have not put in a user id or password.  I do not have any Visual FoxPro databases around anymore to test with.

Thanks for trying!
The weird thing is that only 4 months ago I did just that for a different free table. It worked fine and it is still showing as available to use in reports.
But for some odd reason I can NOT add any connections now.
I have not changed OS or workstation - so I can not imagine what is going on.
I am so frustrated!
Wondering if maybe a dll has become corrupted or needs updating. I have read some odd problems have been resolved by re-installing a dll. When reviewing the properties on the free table that is connected and working, the database DLL stated is
crdb_p2bxbs.dll
Any suggestions on where I can safely download a new copy of this dll or do you think this would be a waste of time?

I have no idea anymore.  I have not worked VFP in years.  I trying to remember if there was Crystal Reports native driver that would work.

Which version of Crystal are you using? Have you upgraded your OS in that four months? What OS are you using? That might be causing this problem as there are some differences in how the db drivers work.
