Before I start trying do understand Gantt charts I would like to know if they can do what I need.

 

I need to have recurring tasks.  That is for a single task I need to have more than one period of time that the task is active.  From my reading of the help files this is not possible as each task has a start and end date.

 

Am I correct?

 

I may just write the data to a MS Project file.
