    Posted: 15 Mar 2007 at 9:16pm
I have 3 sup reports with pie graphs.

When I have lot of data to display I get this error:

The page size was not large enough to format the contents of an object in the report. Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\nk\LOCALS~1\Temp\most_pop_makes_models_seg_by_state_CR {0CF0C331-DB2E-440E-8FAA-07D7932534E3}.rpt: Page header or footer longer than a page.

Please help..

Is there anyway that I can insert page break for each subreport so that it each supreport displays on different page.

If I have less data then I can see all of my 3 subreports.

Thanks

Please take a look at Report Parts feature (available in ver 9 and above). Report parts will allow you to pass parameters from main report to a new report (almost like a drill down feature) and will open up the report within the same window or in a browser, as if the main report just changed its nature.
I am not an expert in report parts as my version of CR 11 is a developer one and lacks the Enterprise Server Version features to run report parts.

To do separate pages, make sure your subreports are in separate sections.  Go to the Section Expert and turn on "New Page Before" OR "New Page After" to get the page breaks that you need.

I had the same error on one of my subreports because I stuffed it in the header of the report (wasn't thinking). When I moved it to the report footer, it stopped doing that...

As above, so below
