We are currently using CR 9.0 to report from Oracle 9.2.

What would be the advantages in upgrading to CR XI?

We are not using other Business Objects programs.

CR XI has lots of nice features, but the BIGGIE that eveyrone has been waiting for is Dynamic Cascading Prompts. You can have multiple prompts and the list of values within the parameter is determined by the users answer for the previous parameter. Prior to CR XI you had to use programming code and a custom data entry screen to build dynamic paramaters.

XI also has new algorithms for processing complex data sources. So you are going to get faster reports if you are using multiple stored procedures or joining different data sources. Previous versions had a bigger performance decrease for complex data.

Oh yeah - I have a lot of information on how to use DCPs in my sample online book. Here is the link:

DCP is The Thing I needed in one of my earlier projects (solved the problem with Crystal Enterprise then) - and actually lost couple of orders because CR couldn't handle those:(

Great to have it available!
