Quote ajmufic Replybullet Topic: Repeat row value in Cross-Tab
    Posted: 06 Mar 2009 at 7:28am

I have a Crosstab made in CR XI that shows Period values in the columns and country and customer in the rows. The problem is that when I export it to Excel, the country is only shown once, if several customer belongs to that country. I would like to have the country shown for every single customer, is that possiblem?

Below you can see how it gets exported.

Period 1 Period 2 Period 3 Total
Algeria Customer 1 0,00 2 436,00 0,00 2 436,00
Customer 1 47 913,90 0,00 0,00 47 913,90
Angola Customer 2 3 905,40 0,00 0,00 3 905,40
Customer 1 0,00 0,00 45 687,40 45 687,40
Australia Customer 2 0,00 704 390,00 435 366,00 1 139 756,00
Austria Customer 1 13 883,36 83 953,70 2 534,65 100 371,71
Customer 1 0,00 8 890,00 0,00 8 890,00
Customer 2 0,00 24 416,39 53 480,90 77 897,29
Customer 3 226 016,00 0,00 0,00 226 016,00
Brazil
Customer 4 0,00 0,00 0,00 0,00

And this is how I wanted to be:
Period 1 Period 2 Period 3 Total
Algeria Customer 1 0,00 2 436,00 0,00 2 436,00
Angola Customer 1 47 913,90 0,00 0,00 47 913,90
Angola Customer 2 3 905,40 0,00 0,00 3 905,40
Australia Customer 1 0,00 0,00 45 687,40 45 687,40
Australia Customer 2 0,00 704 390,00 435 366,00 1 139 756,00
Austria Customer 1 13 883,36 83 953,70 2 534,65 100 371,71
Brazil Customer 1 0,00 8 890,00 0,00 8 890,00
Brazil Customer 2 0,00 24 416,39 53 480,90 77 897,29
Brazil Customer 3 226 016,00 0,00 0,00 226 016,00
Brazil Customer 4 0,00 0,00 0,00 0,00

Try this:
In the Cross Tab Expert go to the Cusomize Style tab and check the "Repeat Row labels" as TRUE.

DBlank,

thanks for your reply and sorry for my late answer.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. The country is not a label but a value.
I managed to solve the problem though, by adding a column with a unique value, which I then supressed.

Probably there is a more correct solution but this will work for now!

Please create a new formula field. In this formula field, joint all selected column i.e. column1 & column2 & column3. This will create a field which has all distinct values and include this field in your report. No all required values will repeat in each row as you like. Regards
