    Posted: 02 Apr 2009 at 9:10am
Hi,
I have a report that has a Report Header that spans more than one page (it contains a sub-report). When this happens, no page footer is printed while the Report Header is filling pages.
e.g. the Report Header spans 2 1/2 pages; the page footer will NOT print on the bottom of Page 1 or 2 but will print on the bottom of Page 3.
Using Crystal Reports XI
Any ideas on how to get around this problem?
Thanks,
Dec.

make a smaller report header?  since the report header only prints once per report, I am guessing that crystal prints it, but since it spans multiple pages, crystal waits for the report header to be printed before printing the page footer.

Can you put it in a group header instead, then the page footer should display?

Don't think I can put it in a Group Header, unless you know a trick for making a "dummy" group header i.e. make a group header so that all data for the report would be in the first Group?

I don't know if this would work, but I don't see why not.  Create a formula and in the formula write: 1=1

then create a group based on the formula...all data is valid in the group header.

At the very least it is worth a try.

Sorry for the delay, I have been sick

I had answered my own question in my head while writing the previous post, and yes your solution works.

Thanks for the help.
