Using Crystal Reports XI and SQL tables

I have created a report which has drill down to the detail however I would like to further drill down from the detail to another level.

The report has a Group Header 1 which lists out our technicians and some dates. When we click on each technician we get taken down to the detail about that technician.

This detail is a list of help desk numbers and some dates. There is one line per help desk.

What I would like to have from the detail level is that when they click on a particular help desk it opens up another "detail" page which has more info about that help desk. This will save having to go the help desk software and actually open up the help desk request.

Is this possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards

2 main ways to do this. One would be to add in the details table to your report and then add a group level 2 (technician is group1) of the HD desk ticket #. Place the ticket field on the details section.

Another option is to leave the report as is, add in a sub-report as an on demand report, link it rom the main report to the subreport on the HD ticket # (or another primary key).

Usually I try and avoid sub reports but in this case I prefer them. On demand sub reports allow you to create a much nicer presentation and might actually improve performance in the report.
