Greetings everyone,
I had a newbie question about adding Barcode fonts to my report. My boss wants me to add Code39 and from what i've been able to tell I need a third party application to do this? Am I correct in this assumption?
I'm using Crystal Report 11 if that helps and I apologize if this is a newbie question.

Not necessarily.
1: get the file for the font (.TTF extension) 2: in windows explorer, go to windows\Font in the root drive (probably C:) 3: Move the file to that folder. You should get a pop-up saying it's installing new font 4: restart CR and it should now appear in the list of fonts to choose from |

Thanks, just got that figured out about 20min ago. now it's just getting one that'll work

You've probably figured this one out too, but...
You need to have a '*' at the beginning and end of your field for it to be recognised by a bar code reader.
e.g. {yourfield} should have an asterisk concatenated at either end to make it a readable bar code
'*' & {yourfield} & '*' ------------- Seagate Crystal Reports 8.5.0.389 in the guise of INFOR:Reports as part of Infor:COM ERP software. |
