Hi,

I have created a report based on a view for testing/development. Now that it is working and formatted correctly, I want to change the datasource to a stored procedure (with identical fieldnames).  If I use the 'Set Datasource Location' dialog box, it lets me specifiy what I want to do, but when I click on 'Update' nothing happens (except that the Update button gets grayed out').  Is there any way to point an existing field to a different datasource? I sure don't want to start over again and re-populate every field in the report!

thanks

Chris

Hi,

What you have done is correct. To change the datasource from View to Stored Procedure, it is enough to use "Set DataSource Location".
