Do a search on the site here - there are a number of posts on doing dynamic reports.  However, be aware that the most common component for doing this - the RDC - has been deprecated and is no longer supported.

I'm not sure what's happening with the search - I KNOW that there are posts here on this topic.  I'll contact Brian who owns the site and see if he knows what's happening.

Actually, I found a couple of things - you need to set the search range to "Any Time" instead of "Last 6 months".

Search on "Dynamic":
http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4390&KW=dynamic - http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4390&KW=dynamic

http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2559&KW=dynamic - http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2559&KW=dynamic

Search on "runtime":
http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3845&KW=runtime - http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3845&KW=runtime

This one refers to Brian's online book:
