No sure what is the best way to describe the title.

Thing is, my report is working fine (except for that index issue I have a.t.m)

Now this is my issue.  I've added a Sub-report onto my main report.  Works great and it's linked.  But the layout doesn't work when there's a lot of records in my sub-report.

If there's a lot of records in my sub-report then it grows.  But as it grows the main report information gets this information all over it so you can't make out what is going on.

How can I let my sub-report grow but also as it grows it should push down the information on my main report so that nothing overlap.

Hope that is clear enough.

Thanks,

place it on its own section (like report header a)

So I was right... Is that the only way then?

I am working in 1 huge group so I just added more sections but had an idea that there might be a better way :)

But thanks :)

to mkae sure it does not grow over anything below it the best way is to have it on a unique section. That way the section will move independently of the other items on the canvas. YOU do not have to add in extra groups, just a new section

yea I got the part to add sections (not groups :D)

But was hoping there was a faster way like just dragging a box around it or something :)

So this is best practice then?

tx a lot man :D

IMO yes it is best a best practice. There are of course always exceptions based on specific report requirements.
