Is there a way to add a plus or negative sign next to a group to drill down or expand/collapse to show more data?

And would this work the same way if exported to excel?

Thanks,

not exactly sure what you mean by question 1 but check out KenHammady's site for reviews of add on software to assist in exporting (look for Ido Millet's software Visual Cut software)

In the group tree in crystal it uses the + / - to expand collapse based on groupings.
I guess you could replicate the look of this using
drilldowngrouplevel and a textstring added onto the group name but it will not expand or collapse but rather drill into (open another tab)

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports viewers listed at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides that functionality. You can also find a video demonstration of this if you Google "Crystal viewer in-place drill down video demo".
