I am currently running Crystal 9 through ODBC and need to do a full outer join.  The option is greyed out in my link options box (and has been for years Cry) making it difficult to pull in non-existing data from tables where the data does not exist for every record.  Can anyone tell me if this is an issue with the version that I am using, the connection or tell me how I can 'activate' the full outer linking option so that it can be of use to me..........Please respond with any input that you have in reference to this..... Smile

this might be more to do with your data source type. I could be wrong but I recall reading that certain source types do not support all join types (e.g. excel files).

i don't use those or your version but what I would do next is hook into some sql data source and see if your full outer join is enabled. If you don't have sql hook into the ms access db and see if it lets you do it. I know sql will allow for the full outer join and I am pretty sure access does. this at least will let you know your version supports full outer joins.
