I need to show on a report all client records with the most current date for a specific field.   For example: I want to display all the client records who contain a "P1" value in a specific field.  However, I don't want all "P1" values to display on the report for a client.  I just want the "P1" value with the most current date.

If you don't have to do any summary calculations, this is actually fairly easy.
 
1.  If you haven't already, group by client.
2.  Sort descending on the field that contains the date for "P1".
3.  Put the data in the client group header and suppress the details section.
 
This will show the most current "P1" record for each client.

Thanks.  I figured that part out.    I found out I had more which I posted in another post.   I appreciate the help though!
