Good Morning,
 
I would like to great a page footer that includes the current user name in crystal reports 2008.  I was thinking it was a simple as draging the Special Fields, Current CE User Name field onto the report and presto it would be there.  However, when I do this the field is blank.
 
Does anyone have this working?

CR doesn't know about users.  That is for Business Objects Enterprise users (so if you have one of them...)
 
As far as just a windows user, CR doesn't know.  You would have to get it from a parameter (so the user has to select it or enter it, or if you create the data and push it the report you could get the user from your application and just include it as part of your data)
