I have two questions that are likely simple but I have spent way too long on them.    I have the summary of two columns visually stacked on top of each other.  The requirements then require a sum of these two subtotals.  I have not found the tool that would let me do that or the majic to insert another line of anything in those cells.  i.e. the first pair in the oval on the image 8.81 and 2.60 in that same cell would show the subtotal 11.41, and 5.0 in the second.  How do Insert another line in these subtotal cells? 

Second this report was executed with a date range 01/01/2011 to 10/11/2011,  but January through July is missing because there is no data reflecting it.  How do I get the columns to show dispite the zeros?

I don't know about the first question...cross tabs are a different beast.
 
for the second, you need to 'create' the missing records.  If you are joining to the tables directly, this can be difficult unless you have a table of dates that you can join to.  If you are using a stored proc, you can usually create some method to fill in the missing dates.
