I have a Crystal report (not sure of exact version 8? 8.5?) that is called from VB (I think 6).

I don't have VB6 or the older CR version CD's or installation. All I have is CR XI.

I need to make some minor changes to 3 reports.

My problem is since this is an older 'compiled' version w/ the .exe that is ran from the ERP systems menu - how do I migrate/modify without VB6 and CR 8/8.5 software?

In other words, is there a path to get from CR8/8.5 in VB6 to CR XI?
If yes, what are those steps?

Thank you very much.

Sounds like you need the rpt file but it's embedded inside the compiled exe. One solution is to export to a Crystal report format. That gives you an rpt with saved data. Open that file in Crystal XI.

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
