i'm formatting several pre-loaded reports in our new ERP. I've been doing the implementing, testing, training & form formatting on my own. All of the data that is available in each report has been provided to me, but some fields that I need are not present. The SQL server is locked, and the software company doesn't seem to have anyone who can "unlock" the sql database and allow me to access the data that I need for each report.
I keep getting the reply "that's a Crystal question, and our implementation specialists don't tutor Crystal.
Am I totally stuck? How do get to this data and make it available in my reports?

I am not sure what you mean by locked? If you can connect, and select you should be able to pull the table information along with field information...
Doesnt the vendor provide an ERD?

when i say "locked" i mean that the data that is available on the field explorer is all that I have access to. So if data a, b, c & d are in the field explorer, but I need my report to also include data e, I have no way of opening that data file.
Like I said, these reports were "stock" when we signed up for the ERP, and the data in each report was loaded in before I got my hands on them. I wasn't able to pick and choose what data be at my disposal.
I'm in the process of creating Invoices, along with a few other reports.
I don't know what an ERD is.

On the Database menu select "Database Expert". Open the connection that the report runs on. You should then have the ability to select from tables or views that are in the database to add to your report. -Dell
