Subject: Sub report not showing in ERP system

hello,
I have a problem with sub reports in crystal reports when I am using crystal reports in the ERP system we are using. When I am previewing the report in crystal reports it is showing the sub report as it is suppose to be but when viewing in the ERP system the sub report is not showing. When I use the sub report on its own everything is working fine.
I hope someone is able to help me.
Many thanks,
Nick

by showing in the ERP, you mean through the application?

It might be that the datasource for the subreport is not set correctly by the application...

just a thought

thanks for responding and yes i mean in the application. i was thinking the same thing. i am new to crystal reports so it might be some simple mistake. I have made some reports before and they were showing the sub reports in the application.

I know this is basicaly the same answer as Lockwelle but it is the most likely issue...do you change the ODBC connection? One for development and one for production? make sure the ODBC connection for the subreport is pointing to your production set. Also drill into the source data and make sure their is not an alias being used.
I have done that mistake too many times :(

I dont use multiple connections. I just use the same connection as the main report.

since neither DBlank nor myself can think of anything else, the other alternatives are to:
1) create a new report just like the current report...sometimes for reasons unknown CR just gets stuck
2) create you dataset in such a way that the subreport is not needed. This is easiest to do with a stored procedure.

DBlank might have some other ideas
