Hello,
I have a problem in trying to show a percentage on a Crystal Reports XI cross tab reports.  The requirement is to show the percentage of growth from month to month for images posted on a website.

Looks something like this"

Total     /   Jan 2007  /     Feb 2007  /  Mar 2007
______/_________/___________/__________
Blog    /      12        /       50           /      75
Photo /       0         /        24          /      40
Forum/       5         /         18         /       45

How do I calculate a percentage of the growth month to month for each type of posting?  I've tried several things, but nothing is working.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

pellis

This is actually a bit complicated and I explained the details in other posts on the forum. Do a search to see if those posts help you out.

Also, I have sample code fully documented in my online ebooks in the premier section. You can check it out here if you wish.  http://members.crystalreportsbook.com/ - http://members.crystalreportsbook.com/

Hi Pellis, I found a reference to a solutions for the whole class of similar tasks at http://www.relasoft.net/KB10001.html - http://www.relasoft.net/KB10001.html  but that solution is a powerful monster and requires programming.

Cheers

have you thought about using a Sub report or grouping instead of Cross tab?  that way you could use running totals and then create the req formula!
