Hi,

I'm rather stuck with a Crystal Reports 8.5 (yes, it's the only version my client uses).

What I have is an Outstanding Work Report with the dates that each work item was created, and what I need to do is create 3 columns within the report to summarise the number of work items that have been outstanding for A - less than 3 months, B - between 3 months and 12 months, C - and finally those outstanding over 12 months..

I'll be supressing the individual lines of each work item, in view of just requiring the summaries in A, B, and C.

I've exhausted google searches etc.

This comes down to setting your own user-defined period groups as you well know. If you get a solution PLEASE let me know.  I'm looking for:
1) lastMonth (pre-defined by Xtal)
2) PreviousMonth (I can define as a variable but can't get it into the specificed order list!, and
3) year to Date up to last month.

I'm just as baffled.

See my later post.  I think you can probably then set your report up as a 3 column report, or try a crosstab on the groups
