Hi all.  from this post
http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=774
I can see that linking to Active Directory is possible, but I haven't been able to figure it out.   My issue is in making the connection.  Here's what I do:

In the Database Expert in Crystal, and under Create New Connection, select OLE DB (ADO)
Datasource =
LDAP://us.com/ OU=GenericUsers DC=us,DC=com' WHERE objectClass='user'
UserID = domain/mylogin
password = mypassword

then click finish.

The results I expect to see would have "ADD COMMAND" or somewhere I could write a sql-like query.  What I get is a connection called "Active Directory Service Interfaces" with no items found beneath it.

Do I have bad syntax, no rights, or a missing plugin that allows this?  I'm working with CR9.2 Developer.

Or. . .am I not supposed to see "add command"?  All web references I see show the LDAP command and then SQL with no actual reference to where you are supposed to be plugging these things in.

Help?
