http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif -  Hi... when I export to EXCEL it does not export the suppress duplicate data which is correct, however when I export to CSV all the suppressed data is shown... is there an option or setting that I have missed to suppress the duplicate data on CSV export ?? - http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/smileys/smiley29.gif - -

Hi there.

When you open up the excel file, are the suppressed rows from the report actually hidden rows in Excel?   Look at the row numbers in the Excel file... are there gaps?

This is not something that i've come across in my 8 years of Crystal Reporting :-)

However, my suspicion would be that the data is being exported to Excel, but Crystal is telling Excel about the suppressed rows, so that Excel can mimick that.

You can't pass such codes into a csv file - you just get whatever data is in there.

My advice would be to try to avoid having the unwanted data in the Crystal Report in the first instance.

If you post a bit more detail about what your report does, how you have it structured, what you are suppressing and under what circumstances, perhaps I might be able to suggest a method of removing the data from the report so that it never gets exported.
