When I tell Crystal Reports to sort the data by a column of numbers in ascending order, it is not truly in ascending order.  For example, here is an excerpt from my list.

27005745
27006539
2856458
2857425
28771369
28776409

Obviously 27005745 is larger than 2856458, so does anyone know why this is happening and how to correct it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am guessing this is a text field with numeric characters in it.
Use a fomula to convert it to a number and sort on the formula field.
tonumber({table.textfield})
