Hi ,

I created a report with CR 8.5 that is exported to excel. the problem i have is when i open the report in excel extra rows appear. The design of the report has four field line vertically under each other. There are no spaces between the fields. But whe i open report in excel there is an extra space between the 2nd and 3rd field. So in CR it loks like
Field1
Field2
Field3
Field4

But in excel it looks like

Field1
Field2

Field3
Field4

Any ideas on how to get rid of the extra line?

Thanks,

Cecil

The Excel Export in Crystal has always been problematic.  Try making sure that all of your fields are aligned on the left and that they are all exactly the same width, with CanGrow turned off.  This may or may not help, but it's a technique I've found that is pretty reliable for this kind of export.
