I’m using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 I would like to make an accounting report using with crystal report.

There are 3 column called CREDIT BALANCE, DEBIT BALANCE AND REMAINING BALANCE. the remaining balance should add up credit balance and debit balance and last remaining balance and write the result on current line.

And I couldn’t find how to do this.

I would be glad if you can help me.

Thanks.

create a shared variable and increment it accordingly in the detail section. Display it in the group footer and set it to 0 in the group header.  If you only need the results on the data line, just create the formula and drop it on the line...but usually someone will want to see a total, and the shared variable will do that for you.
