Have Crystal XI installed on a machine at work.  Moved it from a common area to my office.  Works fine to bring up existing reports, or to refresh existing reports...
 
when I select BLANK REPORT and then select CREATE A NEW CONNECTION, it pops up the standard Microsoft error saying it must close the program now, and it shuts down Crystal instantly...
 
tech has been looking into it with no luck yet, me neither...
 
any ideas?  thanks so much for any help possible!!!

Have you tried doing a Repair Install?
