Been asked to create a list wereby an adivsor can see all current clients that fall into certain parameters (simple enough)

They then want to be able to select a number of these clients and run a subreport to show extra details for these people on a seperate list

Is this possible?

Do they need to see any information in the main report for the original list of clients?

If not, you could have parameters in your main report to generate the list of clients and then rather than displaying this data have this list of clients be the dynamic list for your subreport paramter.

IE User enters client filter parameters >
Presses ok >
rather than been taken to the report a new parameter box appears with the client details >
User selects the clients they wish to view from the list >
Clicks ok >
taken to report with subreport generated for the clients selected

I haven't tried this but I'm guessing you should still be able to show details of all clients in the main report too, while the subreport just shows the details of the clients selected.

For more info/details of how to do it see my post in this thread;

Regards,
Ryan.
