Hi,

I'm pretty new to Crystal Reports and have come from a background of developing reports in actuate - it is completely different...

I have written an SQL statement which pulls of different elements from a database which are all prefixed with the element name, then the number of the element
eg
element_1,
element_2,
element2_1,
element2_2

the element names have different lengths.

I want to group them in a chart giving the peak load for that element - any ideas how to do this? I've started looking at the functions and formulas area, but am pretty confused as to how to use it.

Thanks in advance

James

These are different database columns or different values inside a single column? If the later, just group by that column. If the former, you need to explain a bit more about the situation.
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
