or in other words am unable to copy a single cell from the report and paste it in notepad etc.

Your ability to do this may depend on which viewer you're using.  Is this a web app or a Windows app?

If it were a web app, this would be fairly easy as you can set the viewer type to HTML.  I don't think this capability is available in the Windows viewer.

Brian, do you know anything about this?

I think this is a screen shot from XI in Design mode. The viewer won't let you do anything like this. Does this sound right to you?

If it's not from design mode, it may be from the old "publish as an exe" app that was available, I believe, in version 8 and below (it may have been just earlier than 8, I can't remember...)

it is not from the newer cryustal report XI as this screen shot is from an old developed application running in our organization. it is taken from an .exe file not from design mode of any thing.

is there any option that we can create any custom menu for crystal report viewer to copy the data and can i export the report in pdf and can show it in the windows form?

You should be able to export to PDF with no problems from the viewer that's available in VS 2005.  You could also export to PDF in code without opening the viewer - do a search on the forum here, I know some sample code for this has been posted - and then display the PDF instead of the Crystal.
