You will need to go into the formula editor in the Select Expert to manage this kind of criteria (if my understanding of your requirements is correct).
NOT (sysdate = "11/20/2007" AND trantype = "adj-cst")
That will specifically select every record that is not an "adj-cst" transaction on 11/20/2007. If you need additional criteria, then simply join it to this line with AND.

Yeah, Lugh is right.
I've had to do quite a bit of formula editing in the Select Expert. Also, note that you should use parentheses to group distinct statements in the formula editor for the select expert, keep in mind that it is a boolean expression.

Bill - I have working in three different overall (plant floor to front office) softwares. Vantage is by far the poorest quality in service to the customer and the way it integrates the financials - as an end user and the IT manager - I do not recommend this software. Please take a look at Visual Manufacturing. I worked in this software for four years as the Controller - I truly miss it!!!!!!
