Is there a formula to highlight every other displayed rows after you have suppressed the others?
i know how to if it wasn't suppressed.

So you're saying that your formula doesn't work when suppressed rows are being used? What is your formula?

Well, it does work, but since some of the highlighted rows are the suppressed one, it's not displaying every other rows highlighted.

if Remainder (RecordNumber, 2) = 1
then crnocolor else crsilver

Hmmm. I didn't realize that suppressed records are included in that formula. How are you suppressing the rows? Are you using a formula? If so, create a manual running total variable and manually increcement it only for rows that aren't suppressed. Then use this manual running total in your formula for the highlighting.

yes, I'm using a formula to suppress the rows.  Sorry I'm a newbie, but can you walk me thru creating a manual running total variable?

My group is based on item numbers.

Much appreciated,

Hey Brian,

I figure how to create a manual running total variable and got my rows to highlight correctly.

Thanks for getting me in the right direction.

Glad it worked. I think I'll modify the section in my book that talks about this and mention your problem.
