Hi - having a problem, and so far Cross Tab has not been my answer.  I'll explain at the bottom.

I use Crystal with MAS 90/200

What I want:  To show which PO's a set of items is on in one single row.

Here's what I'm trying to show (PO=Purchase Order #)

Item #              PO #           PO# 2            PO #3
--------              --------         ---------           ---------
YY-1234            5555          5588              8255

I want all the POs for any given item to display in 1 row....MAS200 does not have separate buckets for multiple POs.  If an item is on multiple PO's, crystal will show me results like this:

YY-1234    5555
YY-1234    5588
YY-1234    8255

I need to roll up those PO's into 1 row so I can export to excel and VLOOKUP to some other data I have.

Cross tab DOES this for me, but the problem is is shows me ALL OPEN PO'S.  A better way to understand what I mean by that is the representation (note, the numbers below the POs are qty ordered):

Item #     PO 5555         PO 5588      PO 6666      PO 7777
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
YY-1234     600                 0                  0                     300
SS-3322      0                    1000         1000                    0

So, even when an item is not on a PO, another item is, and cross tab shows all the open POs.

I'm sorry, this is probably a really confusing post.  It's hard to explain.  Any thoughts, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest transposing your data in a program such as SAS or SPSS (or even lotus) then bringing it into crystal

Hi,

you can use Pivot Unpivot in Excel,I am not sure though how you do in Excel, but if possible you can request Sql Developer in your company to do that in SQL also.

Cheers

So, in summary - is everyone saying Crystal does not have this ability?

If so, I think the Pivot table will work out.

Just seems to me there should be some way to manipulate within Crystal.  I'm sure some VB scripting or whatever programmers can do would work.  Maybe even Crystal syntax :]
