Hi all,
I have a report grouped by the following field named activities (with which I am summarizing the costs of each)
Crafts
Soccer
Swimming
Baseball
Camping
Walking
Hiking
I have to include a 'group summary' for sports that would include soccer, swimming and baseball... eg;
Crafts
Sports:
Soccer
Swimming
Baseball
Camping
Walking
Hiking
I've tried specific order sorting and creating a group called sports with those activities in it, however if I put sports in the report, Swimming, Baseball and Soccer don't show up (I'm assuming because it's in two named groups)
I've also tried replacing all those activities (Soccer, Swimming, Baseball) with Sports and creating another column with the breakdown, but I get the following results
Crafts
other
Sports:
Soccer
Swimming
Baseball
Camping
other
Walking
other
Hiking
other
if I 'discard others' I get
Sports:
Soccer
Swimming
Baseball
in the book 'Crystal Reports Encyclopedia for Professionals' on page 105 it states;
"Be careful that you don't add an individual item that could also
fall within the same classification of a named group. If this
happens, the data will appear in both the named group and
listed separately."
I want this to happen! But it won't.... any ideas?
Thanks
