Topic: SQL text and number Posted: 08 Sep 2008 at 4:35am
I have to write reports for a very badly designed database. There is a Person_Id that is the basis of a great many tables. And in some of these tables it has been defined as Number as it should be, and in others as Text. The current way we are having to use it is with an Access database, where queries have been written to make the tables linkable, but this is a fudge not available in Crystal. I do not have the authority to get the database corrected. Is there a way in a sql command to Select a number as text, like using cstr or varchar, so I can link these tables or another command selecting from them?
