Looking to see if anybody has been sucessful with being able to log in a table :

1) Who ran a specific Crystal Report (userid )
2) When the report started
3) When the report completed

For any report that a user would run through Crystal.  Our main database is Oracle and this would be very helpful for trying to figure out which reports people are using, how long they are taking etc.

We were thinking we could possibly do this with a stored procedure in Oracle but that hasn't been really working so if anyone has any ideas or can tell us how they accomplished this that would be very helpful.

Thanks

If you are the administrator you should be able to view the history through your administrative side, we have exactly that, the start and end time of a run, who ran it and whether it was successful or not.  Good luck.

Are you using BusinessObjects Enterprise or Crystal Server do deliver your reports?  If so then all of that data can be tracked.  If not, you may have to build it into your reporting application.  Crystal can be set up to do some data updates, but I've not worked with that feature, so I can't tell you how to do that.  If you do a search on the forum, you'll find several posts on the subject.
