Hi everybody ,

I am perfomring a simple grouping and a count on every group. Say I am grouping by status_id. As of now the report is grouping the rows by the status_id, displaying all the rows in the group and doing a count at the end of each group giving me the total number of rows in that group.

What I would like to display is one row for each group - ie the status id and the total count for that group. I dont want to see the individual rows contributing to the group.

I tried going into the design tab and removing all the fields from the 'Details' row, but that just creates blank spaces for where the rows were printed. And after the blank spaces it gives me the total. Fillfills my purpose but doesnt look too good.

Please advice,

Thanks !

Why don't you try to suppress your detail line.  I think that will give you what you want.  Go to the design tab, right click on the detail line, click suppress.

Good luck !
