What is the best way to make reports that looks in one way when you look at them as reports but then have another look when you export them to Excel?

I've made a report where I have several fields that I only want to have when I export the report. I have inserted them on the report and set the width to 0, and it works fine while in CR Developer. In CR Developer the fields have width 0 in the preview but when I export it to Excel the values show up in the columns where I want them, exactly as I wanted it!
The problem is that when I upload the report to our Crystal Reports Server XI and generate the report from there, the fields don't have width 0 anymore but show up fully visible!

All ideas are welcome!

(I've also have to put several empty text objects, so the headlines and such have been moved to the correct columns)

Hi

Why Don't you change the background or font color of the fields to White, instead of setting the width to zero ,this should work both in crystal and CE

Cheers

Great answer rahulwalawalkar! Works like a charm!!

A following-up question: how can I mark fields that have a 0 width.......? Ermm
I know where some of the fields are in my reports, and if I keep on clicking in the vicinity, I finally manage to put the mouse on the perfect spot and mark that field.

Isn't there an easier way to mark a particular field in a report (via the menu?)

Hi

In Design Mode Go to View then Select Report Explorer,it will not list the zero width fields but it will list all the Sections in the report with the fields in them, you can click on the fields which you know are zero width and it will highlight in the report,so you can make changes accordingly...

Cheers
