I want to connect to tables with a prefix in SQL server.  For example, in the report I want to use a table named account_balances.  When I connect to the database, I want to use the table customer1.account_balances.  Is there a way to set a parameter or formula (or any method) so that you can prefix (or otherwise control the name of) a table on the fly so you use the one you want, the one for a specific customer, for example?

How are you viewing your reports?  If you're using an application that you've written, you would set the table names for the report at runtime.

Ok, sounds good.  Do you know the function that does this?

It depends on the programming language and object model you're using for your application.
