don't know, never used, not referenced in Brian's book. Look in Crystal's help...which isn't very helpful, but it is an external component which has some issues on use, depending on how it was created and how the report is deployed.
All I know, I got from looking in the help file. If you want more info, I would probably look at the BO site, since they are the masters/creators of Crystal.
