    Posted: 22 Mar 2007 at 10:11pm
Hi All!

Can anyone help me out , as i have a problem while exporting crosstab report to Excel data only.
I have a cross tab report, in which i have performed some calculations.

        The report is working fine.
The client wants to export the report to Excel(data only).

When I try to export the report to Excel data only, then
the output is not proper and the formulas(the percentage column) is modified.

Is there anyway to export the same output to Excel data only without any errors?
I have tried setting the report Export options, but still does not work.
I have asked the client to try Editable rtf format while exporting, but they want Excel data only.
I'm stuck on this and wonder if macros can help me??
       Can anybody suggest solutions??

Thanks in advance!

Is your problem still open?
If it is, could you specify, how is your data modified or changed when exporting.

Thankyou for the initiative.

I have solved the problem using VBA macros.

Still would appreciate if you have straightforward solutions for this.
Crosstab looks like this:-

              jan 07         Feb 07
--------------------------------------------

              sum  |  %      Sum  |  %           Grandtotal
------------------------------------------------------------
aaa         25   |  7%     32    | 6%           57  |12%
bbb
ccc
Total
a1
b1
Total
---------------------------------------------------------------
Grandtotal
---------------------------------------------------------------

After exporting to excel, the 7% has got modified as 24.6%.
            and 6% as 31.5%
This is because 7% (I have calculated using a formula).

Do you mean that

Original:
              sum | %      Sum | %           Grandtotal
------------------------------------------------------------
aaa        25   | 7%     32    | 6%           57 |12%

Is changed to
a)
              sum | %      Sum | %           Grandtotal
------------------------------------------------------------
aaa        24,6   | 7%     31,5    | 6%        57 |12%

OR
b)
              sum | %      Sum | %           Grandtotal
------------------------------------------------------------
aaa        25   | 24,6%     32    | 31,5%       57 |12%

If the first one of my "problem" options is the one you are having, I would suggest that you make a formula, which rounds the summarized value so there will not be any decimals.
